Ohio River Tributary Watersheds: South
The Ohio River tributaries (south) watershed is located in southern Ohio. It drains a total of 640 square miles and flows through all or part of five counties. Major municipalities partially or fully in the watershed include Portsmouth and Cincinnati.
The eastern portion of the watershed is predominantly comprised of forest with some areas of cultivated crops pasture and hay lands. The central portion of the watershed is a mixture of cultivated crops, pasture and hay lands and forest. The western portion of the watershed is primarily comprised of urban development.
