About DMWM

What We Do

As citizens of Ohio, we all use many materials in our daily lives. How we handle materials and products when they are no longer useful to us or become a waste depends on what they are made of and whether there are economically feasible opportunities for reuse or recycling. Ohio EPA staff, citizens and the regulated community are working together to minimize the amount of waste that must be treated, deposited in a landfill or incinerated. These efforts can reduce disposal costs and make sure valuable, reusable materials don't go to waste.

Mission Statement

To protect public health and the environment by promoting alternative waste materials management options that reduce reliance on landfills and ensuring that waste management facilities are constructed and operated in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
