Redesignations and Maintenance Plans
On April 1, 2010, Ohio EPA submitted a Clean Data Request to U.S. EPA for the PM2.5 Annual Standard. The request asks U.S. EPA to make a determination of attainment of the PM2.5 annual standard for the currently nonattainment areas in the State of Ohio. A clean data request and determination by U.S. EPA does not relieve Ohio from Clean Air Act requirements or the requirement to submit redesignation requests before an area can officially be designated to attainment.
