Ohio EPA Recycling and Litter Prevention Program (R&LP) grant applications
Save the date!!!
Ohio EPA’s Recycling and Litter Prevention Program (R&LP) provides grant funding to communities and businesses that initiate or expand recycling programs, encourage sustainable practices, and stimulate market development for reusing recyclables and litter prevention efforts.
In 2017, Ohio EPA launched the Ohio Materials Marketplace (OMM), a free online service where Ohio businesses, not-for-profits and government organizations can advertise and acquire useful products and materials that may be destined for a landfill.
See what's new!
Ohio EPA, solid waste management districts (SWMDs), material recovery facilities (MRFs), haulers, Ohio communities and The Recycling Partnership (The Partnership) are tackling the issue of non-recyclable trash in recycling by investing in education and outreach in pilot areas around the state.
The Ohio Materials Marketplace has migrated to a new dynamic platform. The new marketplace features an improved communication tool and is mobile-friendly to ease the creation of new material posts and speed material searches.
Using the Recycling and Litter Prevention (R&LP) scrap tire grant from Ohio EPA’s DEFA, along with matching funds from Jackson Center Schools (JCS), a ground tire rubber (GTR) paving project created a new running track and walking paths connecting athletic facilities and a community park.
