Ohio EPA Awards More Than $4 Million for Recycling and Litter Prevention

  • The Program Year (PY) 2020 Drinking Water Assistance Fund (DWAF) Program Management Plan (PMP) became effective on July 1, 2019.

WRRSP Nomination Period is Rapidly Approaching

  • The nomination period for the Water Resource Restoration Sponsor Program (WRRSP) is changing this year to Aug. 1 – 31, 2019. This change allows more time for the pre-nomination site visits now required to nominate a project. Another potential change for the WRRSP program in 2020 will involve increased focus on projects that are located in the Western Basin of Lake Erie.

Record Number of Nominations Received for WSRLA Program Year 2020

  • This year, Ohio EPA received a record number of nominations for the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA) – more than 180 projects and more than $400 million for upcoming program year (PY) 2020. This reflects the growing popularity of the WSRLA and the continued, widespread need for drinking water infrastructure improvements. During calendar year 2018, the WSRLA loaned out an all-time-high of more than $233 million in funds for drinking water improvement projects.
