Ohio Clean Marinas Program is a partnership between the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio Sea Grant College Program, Ohio EPA and several other agencies. They encourage marinas and boaters to use simple, innovative solutions to help keep Ohio’s coastal and inland waterway resources clean. The goal is to help marinas and boaters be more aware of environmental laws, rules and jurisdictions, and to help marinas follow best management practices and be designated as Clean Marinas. Offering useful information for both boaters and marinas, a vast library of online resources and on-site technical assistance can be reached by calling (419) 609-4120 or by visiting ohioseagrant.osu.edu/clean.
On Feb. 20, 2019, OCAPP representatives provided marina owners and operators with updates on environmental regulations and best practices at the third Ohio Marina Conference in Port Clinton, OH. OCAPP representatives in each of Ohio EPA’s district offices can provide free and confidential service ranging from answering questions over the phone to on-site technical assistance. Call our toll-free hotline at (800) 329-7518.
