Ohio’s EPA’s Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention (OCAPP) earned the attention of the PEW Charitable Trusts, a non-profit research organization. The organization recognized Ohio EPA for its free and confidential services and resources to help businesses achieve and maintain compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
The 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments require every state to have a program to assist small businesses with air permits. Many of these compliance assistance programs are linked by a national network of Small Business Environmental Assistance Programs (SBEAP).
Whether planned or unexpected, employee turnover often results in a period of transition where responsibilities, priorities and other aspects important to your business operations can be lost. For a small business owner, this may result in potential lapses with your environmental compliance responsibilities. The good news is, Ohio EPA’s non-regulatory support staff in the Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention (OCAPP) can help you.
