Ohio EPA, solid waste management districts (SWMDs), material recovery facilities (MRFs), haulers, Ohio communities and The Recycling Partnership (The Partnership) are tackling the issue of non-recyclable trash in recycling by investing in education and outreach in pilot areas around the state.

Did you know that National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) individual application paper forms are no longer accepted through the mail? As of July 1, 2019, these forms must be submitted electronically through Ohio EPA’s eBusiness Center and Surface Water Tracking, Reporting, and Electronic Application Management System (STREAMS) service.
Ohio EPA is awarding more than $4 million this year in grant funding to 66 local governments, businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout Ohio to establish and implement general recycling, litter prevention, recycling market development and scrap tire recycling programs.
As part of DEFA’s ongoing efforts to make the most of the limited principal forgiveness funding available every year through our SRF programs, additional focus will be placed on projects that are ready to proceed.
