Since 1989, Ohio's Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) has been an important source of project financing throughout Ohio for a wide variety of municipal wastewater, storm water and nonpoint source pollution control projects. The WPCLF is administered on the calendar year basis and now is the time to nominate your projects for financial assistance in 2019. As in the past, we expect to make loan funds available to all eligible projects. In addition, we anticipate administering approximately $36 million in principal forgiveness funds this program year. These funds will be awarded to eligible projects based on a competitive ranking system to be further described in the Program Management Plan (PMP). Ohio EPA has revised and improved the nomination form for the WPCLF. Please use the new nomination form on DEFA's website. For all construction projects, nominations must be submitted to Ohio EPA by Aug. 31, 2018. Planning and design projects may be nominated at any time during the program year. Also, any project associated with nutrient reduction at a treatment plant (planning, design, or construction) may be nominated at any time as well. Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
