Visitors will view exhibits about the area’s agricultural heritage and discuss farming and land stewardship.

March 31, 2017 Miami Valley Bicyclists Will Benefit from Ohio EPA Education Grant
Up to 6,000 bicyclists will have an opportunity to reduce tailpipe emissions by attending one or more of 24 Miami Valley events and leaving their cars at home with help from a $5,000 Ohio EPA Education grant to Bike Miami Valley. Cyclists will be able to keep their rides safe at the events using attended, secure spaces.
March 31, 2017 Paulding Soil and Water Conservation District Receives Education Grant from Ohio EPA
More than 2,600 students will learn about water use with help from a $2,800 Ohio EPA Education grant to the Paulding Soil and Water Conservation District. The money will be used to provide three-dimensional Enviroscape table-top models and supplies.

More than 61,000 Washington County residents annually will have an opportunity to learn about precipitation and groundwater at 10 events with help from a $5,000 Ohio EPA Education grant to the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District. Viewers will learn how rain water and snow melt affects ground water.

More than 10,000 Delaware-area residents will have an opportunity to learn about watersheds with help from a $4,800 Ohio EPA Education grant to the Delaware Soil and Water Conservation District. The grant will fund a state-of-the-art topographic 3-D map design station to help teach students about topographic maps and landforms.

Kamm’s Corners Development Corporation in Cleveland will educate businesses and area residents about how they can use landscaping to help control storm water runoff with help from a $5,000 Ohio EPA grant. The community will retrofit existing green infrastructure with non-edible, perennial plants that will be serve two purposes – storm water control and public programming craft demonstrations.
October 21, 2016 Ohio EPA Awards Environmental Education Grant to Lucas County Organization
Toledo Botanical Garden will use a $1,282 grant from Ohio EPA to host a one-day, six-hour training for 25 elementary school teachers that will provide hands-on lessons about pollution in waterways and how to manage urban runoff.
