After March 23, our district offices and Central Office will be temporarily closed and will have increasingly limited ability to receive deliveries, plans, etc. All entities are encouraged to submit plans, permit applications, etc., electronically where there are existing avenues to do so, such as the eBusiness Center (eBiz). Please refer to the list of available services on the main eBiz webpage. We encourage you to make use of all that apply, even if you have not used eBiz in the past. Plans under 25 MB can be emailed. For large plans over 25 MB, entities should work with the reviewer/division to upload via LiquidFiles. Directions for submitting docs via LiquidFiles is available on YouTube. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your understanding. If you wish to send hard copies of documents to any of Ohio EPA’s district offices, the best method to ensure we receive these documents is to send them via U.S. Mail. Since all offices are closed, deliveries outside of U.S. Mail (FedEx, UPS) will likely be returned because the offices are closed and deliveries cannot be made.

Alternative Fuels Vehicle Conversion Grants Still Available
Ohio EPA is offering one-time funding to help municipalities, schools and businesses convert diesel-powered heavy-duty fleet vehicles to run on cleaner burning alternative fuels. Fifteen grants have been awarded so far with $2.2 million still available.

Ohio EPA Offers Alternative Fuel Vehicle Conversion Grants
A new grant from Ohio EPA will assist owners of diesel- or gasoline-powered class 7 and 8 vehicles (weighing at least 26,000 pounds) to convert or replace engines to use compressed natural gas (CNG), liquified natural gas (LNG), or liquid petroleum gas (LPG, such as propane or butane). These cleaner fuels and technologies help improve air quality by reducing diesel emissions such as nitrogen oxide and fine particulates. Grants also may be used for bi-fueled or dual-fueled vehicles that can run on both an alternative fuel and gasoline or diesel fuel.

Ohio EPA Schedules Public Meetings on Plans for Volkswagen Settlement
Ohio EPA is asking for public comment on a plan to invest $75 million over the next 10 years to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) pollution. Funding will come from dollars allocated to Ohio from the Volkswagen Mitigation Trust Fund. Three regional public information sessions are scheduled for January 2018 to explain how the plan was developed and to answer questions.
