Testing Audit Program

Ohio EPA participates in U.S. EPA's stationary source testing audit program. Visit the U.S. EPA Emissions Measurement Center's Technical Support website to access information regarding which test methods have audits available and how to order audit samples. Audit samples are provided at no cost to Ohio regulatory staff. Audits provide a means for improved quality assurance of laboratory analyses and other aspects of source testing that may otherwise go unwitnessed and under-scrutinized. Most samples are consumable, but some VOC and HAP samples may require return shipping of pressurized gas cylinders. Ohio EPA, DAPC is available to assist District Offices and local air agencies with the return of these audit materials to U.S. EPA.

Audits should be employed whenever samples are available, as required by the test methods. For more information, contact Todd Brown.
