Ohio EPA is holding a hearing concerning proposed changes to Ohio’s sulfur dioxide rules as part of the Agency five-year rule review. The rules under review set limits, testing and record-keeping requirements for sulfur dioxide emissions from sources in the state.

Ohio EPA is accepting public comments on a draft air pollution control permit-to-install for the Avon Lake Power Plant. The modified draft permit that requires an update to allow the facility to meet U.S. EPA’s more stringent emissions requirements for the 1-hour sulfur dioxide (SO2) standard, set by U.S. EPA in 2010.
